Hello guise.
Post ni nak share pengalaman apply study kat Korea. Well, I believe ramai student kita yang nak study oversea tak kira la negara mana. This sharing aku rasa akan banyak bantu untuk student yang nak guna agent. Kalau apply guna agent ni tak la semudah macam under MARA/ JPA, diorang ada preparation class sekali (Sorry kalau salah, tak tahu sangat kalau MARA/JPA ni). Kalau agent ni fund kena strong/ ada your own strategy of funding and KENA USAHA!
So here are the steps :
1. paling penting sekali, you need to know the course/ program that you're going to apply. This is very important!!! Buat la mesyuarat agung dengan family ye.
2. Find the Universities that offer your course. korang boleh buka Study In Korea untuk kenal pasti U mana yang offer course yang korang nak. tengok elok2 course yang diorang offer because it might differ between each u ; subjects, fee, location.
3. Contact the agent. I use Gen Education to help me with my application. No worries, they're very nice and helpful. In my case, I was referred to another agent Think Education since I got some problem. Anyway Think Education pon sangat sangat lah bagus. Miss Wendy is the agent who helped me through and just so you know dia sangat lah membantu even aku kata nak withdraw my intention to apply. Ni email dia ; wendy@thinkeducation.com.my
Untuk contact Gen Edu, you can wisit their website and send email to them. Kat website diorang ada chat yang akan online on office hour.
Explain dekat diorang your intention nak study what course at what U. They will guide you through.
4. Prepare the documents. The documents yg kita perlu prepare may differ for each country, so aku akan share Docs requirement untuk apply study di Koleaaaa sepertimana yang agent aku minta. you guys boleh tengok dekat Study In Korea juga jika mahu keyakinan.
a) Identification Card- MyKad
b) 2 copies of student's passport
c) Certified true copy of relevant academic documents (disahkan) :
i) High School Result of Form 1-5 (report card) ** yang ni sekolah akan bagi biasanya time tamat persekolahan. You guys boleh bawak report card tu and mintak sekolah sediakan transcript result yang disahkan oleh pengetua. Ni pon depend on your school**
PMR & SPM Certificate ** Sijil ye anak-anak, bukan slip/trancript result**
ii) Diploma Full Transcript **Untuk student lepasan Diploma. Macam biasa, minta transcript kat HEA U masing2 -disahkan HEA**
Diploma Certificate with certified true copy/Sijil Diploma. **Untuk student yang belum convo lagi, boleh refer pegawai HEA anda boleh tak nak dapat sijil awal. Kalau UiTM boleh pohon di kampus induk tapi I'm not sure about the procedure. Sebab aku takleh dapat sijil diploma tu awal, so aku bagi surat tamat pengajian from HEA**
iii) Certified true copy of school leaving certificate/ Sijil Tamat Persekolahan. **Mohon tuntut di pejabat sekolah ya**
d) 2pcs passport photo with white background
e) Latest 3 month bank statement (approximately USD15,000, whichever higher subject to admission letter amount) ** Bank statement / copy buku bank parents(with IC copy) or your own. balance yang dia nak tu sebagai fund guaranty. bukan bagi diorang duit ni, diorang nak tengok je amount tu dalam bank kita. According to my agent, kalau satu bank tak cukup, boleh topup dengan bank lain. ohoo bab ni memang payah siket la kalau kita golongan marhaen macam aku ni. Tapi nama pon lagi personal fund kan..**
f) Birth Certicicate / Sijil Kelahiran
g) RM2,500 handling fee includes VISA **lepas you guys settle bayar handling fee dia akan settlekan application anda**
Lepas settle ni korang tunggu la admission letter from the University. Oh, requirement untuk study di Korea ni perlukan result TOPIK test normally pass level 3 and TOEFL test result. Each University punya requirement berbeza untuk test ni. Kat Malaysia TOPIK test boleh ambil di UKM.
Untuk Preparation class, kalau student Engineering aku tahu UniKL ada offer class ni. Student Science or Math aku tak pasti. Tapi untuk course rare macam aku ni, memang payah nak cari preparation class so I suggest class at Inter-Cultural Language School . Kat ICLS ni preparation class untuk TOPIK and TOEFL both dia sediakan.
Oh untuk funding. Korean Government sangat banyak offer scholarship untuk international students. Korang boleh refer links below for further info.

So tu je la perkongsian I untuk anak-anak semua. I really do hope post ni membantu sebab time aku nak cari info, mostly student under MARA or JPA, so it was a lil bit difficult.
I am not an expert, ni hanyalah pengalaman. Lagipun belum rezeki aku untuk sampai kat Negara orang, Umie Abah pon sayang sangat kat anak dia ni. hehet.
Apa-apa pon, untuk adik2 kakak2 brader2 yang nak study abroad ni, my advice is aim untuk dapatkan ilmu tu biar lebih dari aim untuk berada kat negara orang. Bila kita set mind kita macam tu, tak de la kecewa sangat kalau tiba2 Allah kata rezeki kita belum sampai untuk ke sana sebab kita tahu ilmu ni boleh dapat kat mana-mana pon selagi kita usaha dan bersangka baik dengan perancangan Allah.
